Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
RFC-822 support?
-
As a IT admin of a email server, I’m often need to looking inside raw email files in standard RFC-822 format.
(Basically 7bit text files)
These are filetyped as .msg on my Windows 2003 server and I’d loved it if PA could simply extract all the items in it.Be it zip files, jpegs, mime encoded docs, etc.
But it can’t.
I have to edit the email to get at the base64 mime section, etc. and change the filetype to .mim or .b64.
Why can’t PA simply do the necessary?
It can tell its an email by seeing there are email headers at the top surely?
So how about support for the RFC-822 email file format?
Be icing on the cake if it could make an RFC-822 email with attachments too!

This would not really be for PowerArchiver but you could try the TC plug-ins.
I have no idea if this one works -
http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wlx_msg.htmlDescription seems to match your view/extract requirements at least.

Why not add it to PA?
It’s a file envelope with objects in it?I don’t want to install another utility and then a plugin for it just to view the eml file.
I can do that with a text editor.
If PA wants to be in the lead it needs to add useful functions for serious IT administrators.

You don’t need the utility just the plugin. TC Plugins can be added into PowerArchiver 10.
Edit: sorry it may not be compatible after all (wlx instead of wcx)
