Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Read Only file warning

Can we have an option to turn off the message box that’s displayed when opening a read only archive?
I personally find it an annoyance, and I believe that the default option of turning off the Read Only attribute is the incorrect default.

there is already an option, Options> Config> Misc.
:-).
Problem is that in some update Outlook made all of the attachments read-only, and people thought it was an PowerArchiver problem and we got plenty complaints. For most inexperienced users, turning off read only attribute is too much to handle which is why you get easy to use option.

I appreciate that you have to help the users who are confused about Outlook attachments being read only. Unfortunately for me, this is also for Outlook attachments - but I almost never want to modify those archives - I nearly always just want to extract the contents and forget about the attachment after that.

I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it - could you say exactly which option on the Miscellaneous page it is?
I’m running 9.50.26
Thanks!

I may not be very bright, but I still have not found the option…
On the other hand, I now see why people can get very confused when working wirh read-only archives unknowingly - you do not get error messages when trying to update, you simply find that all the menu options that permit updates are disabled but it’s not immediately obvous what the reason for that would be.
Maybe another wishlist item (in addition to being able to turn off the messagebox) would be to add an indicator to the title bar for read only files:
“PowerArchiver 2006 - ArchiveName.zip - Read Only”

you are right, option does not exist right now. We talked about it but did not add it, yet!
