<![CDATA[The history of PA?]]>As we can see, PA is now coming to 9.25. (9.5 soon!) How was the day when PA was in 1.0 and thereafter? I still remember PA (freeware age) was the archiver installed in my college during my post-secondary study life.

Is there any website providing such information? :D

yep, one of the oldest compression utilities these days, after old heavyweights… It was by far the most popular freeware compression utility until 2001 when we went shareware… Come to think of it, that was more than 4 years ago!!!

Click on HISTORY in the menu bar on the left - goes to January 2004.
For full history, read the WHATSNEW.TXT in the PowerArchiver progam directory - this goes back to September 1998 :eek:
