<![CDATA[PowerArchiver Outlook Plug-In 2.03]]>I’ve never used it before but I’ve been unable to get it working or to even show in my outlook 2007.
what am I doing wrong guys please?

just upgraded to 2009 pro but never used this plug-in before…can someone please help this silly old fart to configure correctly please.

see below for my current outlook tabs…no sign of new tab for PA.

currently using vista home premium
PA 2009 Pro
Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise

I did by the way make sure outlook was closed before installing plug-in.

I realise this hasn’t given us an answer as to why it happened in the first place but I appreciate your efforts.

on a side note Marc…have your days as an Opera skinner finished for good these days?..I still use on occassion your last skin for opera after we communicated over it.

In the Trust Center click on Add-ins on the left side. Do you see an entry that reads ‘PAOP’ under ‘Active Application Add-ins’?

If not, then at the bottom of the windowyou’ll see ‘Manage: Com Add-ins’. Click the Go button. In the new window, click the Add button and browse to the location of ‘PAOUTLOOK.DLL’ and select it. Click Ok.

You may have to restart Outlook for the plugin to load.

finally got it sorted after an hour or so but still no outlook plug-in I’m afraid.

I have UAC turned off and I use NOD32 anti-virus which I’m unable to stop intergrating into outlook 2007 without uninstalling it first.
I am able to stop the antivirus monitoring my emails but it still remains intergrated into outlook.

Two run Vista, the other XP. On both of my Vista computers I have the User Account Control turned off.

I don’t know if this could be causing an issue or not. Just grasping at straws hoping to find something that might work for you.

The other thought I have, could it be an anti-virus program not allowing the PAOP to install correctly?

You have probably already thought of all this, just trying to toss some ideas out there.

i took the liberty of removing it though on my second attempt just in case it was conflicting with the plug-in.
the older version of the plug-in installed ok though with the backup program still installed.

it has nothing to do with PA specifically, but with Outlook and PAOP integration. So no need to uninstall PA.

What other Outlook plugins do you have installed?

PAOP 2.03 was not changed for PA 2009, it is same release as before…
