Hello!
When I use one of the older skins of PA 2018 in the new 2019 version the progress bar looks pretty ugly.
It looks better with the new skins but I prefer the old ones.Unbenannt 1.jpg

I still have a fondness for the very old buttonbars to be found at http://www.powerarchiver.com/skins/toolbar/.
Up until (I think) PA2017 it was possible to use them with the more recent skins, but I haven’t yet been able to work out a way, or the right combination, to do so with PA2018.
It’s not exactly the end of the world if the old bars can no longer be used, but I’m curious to know if they still can.

I have had to reinstall PA 2016. I can now change to any of the included skins (Classic, etc.) but cannot use any of the downloaded skins (in the SKIN folder or obtained by double clicking on the download). Any ideas, please?

I just wanted to express a congratulations to PixelPirate, Basj and Conmandeco.
Also, I think all the skins submitted to the contest were great and I know PA users appreciate each and every one of them. Nice work guys!

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 with some updates but WU is Disabled blame MS
PowerArchiver Toolbox 2015 v15.04.03Choose to use “Windows Dark” skin, Go into “Configuration” and select “Highlight archives” change from Black to any other colour, click OK twice I think.
Powerarchiver applies the new colour to archives briefly but then returns to Black again!

Hi all…would like to know if it is possible to skin the main window to be other then white after the list of compress file list are shown? :rolleyes:
shot1.jpg show the main windows b4 it load anythings.
but once it load something the list will be in white with black text. I wish to change it to black with red text is it possible?shot2.jpg …where do i go to change that green LED to something else and its yellowish creamy background?
ps/ i am new with this…hope the screenshot show-up :)

there seems to be white bands on some of the borders for this theme, can that be fixed for the next update?

Hi All,
Currently PowerArchiver 2011/12 hosts;
1 default Classic Toolbar and 20+ downloadable skins via website.
The user can also select 6 preinstalled Ribbon interfaces ranging from office 2007/10 with Black, Silver and Blue.
So significantly more classic old style than modern.
Do you as a PowerArchiver User prefer Ribbon or Classic?

It possible to add more ribbon to new PA 2011??
If yes, i hope the developer add news office 14 ribbons…

All the Skins that can be download seems to be for the classic interface of PowerArchiver.Is it possible to create and/or change Skins for the ribbon interface?
It’s really not that important to me, I’m only wondering if it’s possible. From what I can see, only the color scheme of the ribbon interface can be changed (Blue, Silver and Back).

I can’t see any way of accessing and downloading from the PA site the old button sets (Little One, Damas, Xp and so forth) which could be used instead of the default buttons if using the Classic skin rather than the modern ones.
Is there any way of still being able to do this? Not a real necessity but some of those button sets were really good.

When will users be able to download new skins for PA2007? in the new look?
How can a user create their own skin and upload it? and what program can they use?

I thought I would start and maintain a thread related to my skins. Since the site doesn’t maintain a “Last Updated” I’ll post news and changes here.
This is the place if you want to submit feedback, ideas and of course problems.
Current Skins
SmoothVista, SmoothLime, LongHorn, Slate & PoisonedNews
(i) Currently I am working on two new skins and also performing numerous fixes and enhancements to existing skins.One issue in particular I am taking care of is the drop down arrow button located net to the Open button. I’ve managed to make it pretty slim in size allowing more space on the toolbar. So all skins will be updated by the end of the month.
(ii) Aside from one skin author who loves rating 1’s on all my skins, I have gotten some great feedback from other users! So regardless, I will continue creating skins and I am looking forward to any and all feedback.
(iii) Suggestions for icons and toolbar images. Icons are the hardest thing to do IMHO. Mostly because creating an icon that represents “compression” while looking different from other apps is a challenge. So what do you think?
Toolbar images. What do people prefer? OS related images? 2D or 3D? Colorful or ?

It was a great incentive and overall I think PA had a great launch with its new skin engine. I dont remember the old skin library very well, but I think we have almost as many skins.
Of course the skin list will keep growing. Now… Lets hope PA dosent change the skin engine anytime soon :p

If buttons are added along the way, it wont be that hard to update the toolbar file though. So no worries there.
But I had this thought. How hard or impossible would it be to have\define a separate 32x32 bmp for each button? Each image file would be name according to the button. Then when new buttons are added in PA it could fall back on the default or people can simply drop a new image into the toolbar folder. Oh yeah forgot to mention that detail. The button images could be located in a subfolder of “skins” simply named “Buttons”.
This would also allow users to mix and match their favorite button images to get the toolbar they want. Just a thought.

a bit too complicated really - if you want to mix and match, you can simply use the buttons from application itself and add them to the toolbar image…

Yeah thats true. I was just thinking people wouldnt have to do any editing to the toolbar.bmp files.
But as you pointed out, it wouldnt be simple to implement. But the idea sounded good at first though :)

everything takes time to do, test, implement, etc. Time is so precious these days, gotta save it for PA 2007. :-)
